A blend of botanicals for luscious, colored lips
Le Satin Christophe Danchaud is a radiant lipstick with a high-performance formula. It glides on and stays on perfectly, feels super comfortable on the lips, and lasts for hours.
Only too often, conventional lipsticks contain ingredients that are undesirable – or even bad for your health. But natural and organic alternatives don't always give you the finish you're looking for. To solve this problem, Absolution and Christophe Danchaud joined forces, and created a lipstick formulated with safe ingredients that gives the perfect finish.
Certified organic, Le Satin Christophe Danchaud doesn't contain any controversial ingredients, and delivers professional-looking results. It colors and cares for the lips, gives them long-lasting hydration, and reveals all their beauty.
Le Satin is available in three shades that will flatter all skin tones.
Three lipstick shades inspired by nature
02 Rose Nu: Think rose petals, doll cheeks, candy, and just-bitten lips. A fresh and tender pink. 100% natural.
15 Grenat: The color of berries mixed with red wine. A deep, crimson red that adds a pop of color to your day. 96% natural.
22 Brique: A color that immediately transports you to the south of France – the cicadas, the stone pines, bare feet in sandals, and a ray of sunshine even on a cloudy morning. 100% natural.
Natural active ingredients to care for your lips
Centella Asiatica
Native to Asia, this extraordinary plant has been used in traditional medicine for over 2,000 years to help speed up wound healing. This healing ability is directly linked to its two main constituents: saponosides (madecassoside, asiaticoside) and triterpenes (asiatic acid, madecassic acid). These molecules are involved in the production of collagen and fibroblasts, which play an important role in tissue regeneration.
Desert Date oil
Desert Date oil has a unique light feel and a naturally high content of essential fatty acids, which help to rebuild the skin's lipid barrier and promote good intercellular cohesion in skin cells. It helps to prevent moisture loss, has softening and nourishing benefits, and contains minerals (Potassium, Calcium, Copper, Zinc, Iron, Sodium) and Vitamins A, C and E, with antioxidant properties.
Jojoba oil
Also known as the "Gold of the Incas," Jojoba oil has to be one of the best oils for the skin! Every year, the jojoba shrub produces numerous oily seeds, from which the liquid Jojoba wax is extracted. Its composition is very similar to that of sebum, and this gives it a very special affinity with the skin. Jojoba oil protects against dehydration by reducing moisture loss. It nourishes the skin, and sinks in easily without leaving a greasy residue behind. Known for its calming and repairing action, it also protects, softens, and improves suppleness.
Castor oil
Extracted from the seeds of the castor plant, this oil is often used in makeup products for its glossy effect. Its naturally thick texture makes it an excellent ingredient for use in lip glosses and lipsticks. It also makes a good base for the dispersion of pigments, so it's perfect for bringing out the shades of Le Satin: Rose Nu, Grenat and Brique. And because Castor oil has softening and repairing properties, it cares for the lips too!
Carnauba wax
Carnauba wax is derived from the leaves of the Carnauba palm tree (Copernicia cerifera), which is native to Brazil. Completely natural, it is used in makeup formulas for its film-forming properties, and used in lipsticks in particular, as its high melting point gives them excellent heat resistance.
Every day you wear Le Satin, these natural active ingredients and oils work to protect your lips with their nourishing, antioxidant and softening properties.
More stylish and (even) more eco-friendly packaging
Inevitably, the packaging of a lipstick will eventually become waste, but when it's made from recycled plastic and designed to last between three months and one year (or more!), this already makes it very different from single-use plastic. Both the cap and base of Le Satin's packaging are made from 100% recycled PET, also called PCR PET (Post-Consumer Recycled PET material). PCR is a recycled, recyclable material (it meets the Global Recycled Standard) that offers a more sustainable packaging solution. The production of PCR generates 25% fewer greenhouse gases than the production of a regular plastic material. PCR accounts for approximately one third of our Le Satin lipstick packaging. The rest is made from metal – which is recyclable. Only the mechanism part cannot be recycled – for now!
Our packaging supplier is also committed to reducing water consumption. In 2016, this supplier set up a system to recycle wastewater, and the system continues to be improved from one year to the next. In 2019, over 257,000 liters of water were recycled. In May, our supplier installed PV panels, which should reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by 35,000 kg per year.
Shades 10 Malaga & 14 Brun de Mars are COSMOS NATURAL certified by Ecocert Greenlife according to COSMOS Standard available at https://cosmetics.ecocert.com.

5 Active ingredients

Castor Oil
Extracted from castor seeds (Ricinus Communis), it is fortifying and does wonders on the nails, lashes, eyebrows and hair (when applied onto the scalp).
It is also mainly used in makeup products because it gives a natural glossy finish and enables pigments dispersion. Castor seed oil also has nourishing and repairing properties, which makes it a great ingredient for the lipcare products!

5 Active ingredients

Desert Date Oil
A unique, incredibly light feel, and a naturally high essential fatty acid content. Fatty acids help to rebuild the skin’s lipid barrier, and promote good intercellular cohesion in skin cells.
Desert Date oil also helps to prevent moisture loss in the skin, while offering nourishing and softening benefits. It contains minerals (Potassium, Calcium, Copper, Zinc, Iron, Sodium) and Vitamins A, C and E, which give it antioxidant properties.

Centella Asiatica

These molecules are involved in the production of collagen and fibroblasts – cells that play an important role in tissue regeneration.

5 Active ingredients

Carnauba wax
Carnauba wax (Copernica Cerifera) is entirely natural and comes from Brazil.
It has filmogenic properties and is mainly used in makeup products, especially in lipsticks and mascara, because it stiffens the formula without hardening it, and makes it more resistant to heat.

5 Active ingredients

Jojoba
Both calming and softening, this easily absorbed oil sinks into the skin without leaving a greasy feel. It protects against dryness and wrinkles by slowing water loss from skin cells. It helps to rebalance the skin and control sebum production, protects and softens, and is suitable for sensitive skin. With regenerating and anti-aging benefits, it works to maintain skin elasticity and suppleness (activates elastin metabolism) and smooth and firm the skin.
How to use
A tip from Christophe
Le Satin is a lipstick that you can easily wear every day. It adds color to your lips while caring for them too, thanks to the nourishing and repairing properties of Desert Date and Jojoba oils. All you have to do is choose your favorite shade: Rose Nu, Grenat or Brique. All three will work with all skin tones. Just find the one that matches your mood and desires! And why not alternate between them, according to how you feel?
For a velvety finish, simply glide the Le Satin of your choice over your lips several times. This new formula is light but provides good coverage, and is simple and easy to apply. It gives lips a satiny look and leaves them feeling beautifully soft, ready to start the day!
If you like the shade but you want a fresh, subtle effect, put a small amount of lipstick on the end of your ring finger and dab onto your lips, for color that's barely there but absolutely there!
Our Le Satin lipstick is made with plant waxes, which may solidify when exposed to low temperatures. To ensure that it glides easily over your lips, you can always apply a layer of Le Baume or Le Lip Glow first, as a base.
What is the difference between a Satin, Matte and Sorbet finish?
A satin finish lipstick illuminates the lips and brings light to your mouth. Perfect for a fresh and romantic makeup look.
Le Mat lipstick is richer in pigment. It gives the lips a velvety, creamy effect. It is the longest lasting finish, so it is necessary to prepare your lips with a balm before applying it.
Sorbets are ideal for a discreet and natural make-up, they bring shine and coloured tint to the lips.
Do you have lipstick samples?
Unfortunately, we don't have any samples of our lipsticks but you can always come and see us in our boutique in the 10th arrondissement of Paris or visit one of our retailers to find the shade that suits you.
My Satin has started to form little bubbles, is this normal?
Le Satin is a lipstick made of vegetable waxes that can solidify at low temperatures. When stored at room temperature, your Satin will regain its original texture. Don't hesitate to apply Le Baume or Le Lip Glow as a base to allow optimal glide.
Can I use it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Les Satins contain essential oils. Even though the amount used daily is very small, each pregnancy is unique and it is best to ask your doctor for advice and to provide him/her with the list of ingredients of the product in order not to take any risks.
The average score of Le Satin Christophe Danchaud is 4.7 out of 5 after the 58 experience feedbacks gathered from our clients.
