About its ingredients

Born from the hive, Propolis is a sacred resin crafted by bees to seal and purify their home. Its name speaks volumes—pro (before) and polis (city)—a guardian of what lies within. On your skin, it acts much the same: shielding, soothing, regenerating. A natural defender, rich in healing virtues.

Cold Process Soapmaking

Cold process soapmaking is an artisanal method, gentler and more respectful of the ingredients. It preserves the natural properties of plant oils as well as the glycerin that forms naturally during saponification. This is the method we use to craft our soaps!

By working at a controlled temperature, between 33 and 48 degrees Celsius, we maintain the nourishing power of essential fatty acids. The result is a bar rich in natural glycerin, able to cleanse the skin without disrupting its hydrolipidic film. Each bar is cut by hand, then left to cure for at least 8 weeks. This drying time allows the lye to evaporate naturally and the soap to harden gently—ensuring a formula that is softer, longer-lasting, and more respectful of your skin.

You can use Le Savon Noir simply to wash your hands or to cleanse your entire body (including the face). Always use on damp skin, rubbing gently with circular movements. Leave the lather on your skin for a few seconds to soak up the benefits of all its active ingredients, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
